What happens if it is too cold outside to test the air conditioner at the walk through?
Testing the air conditioner, either at a home inspection or a walk through inspection, is actually a problem any time the temperature is below 65 degrees. If the unit is under five years old there is not much to fear according to local home inspector Jamison Brown; however, if the unit is older and cannot be tested due to weather, then we recommend putting a home warranty in place (with the appropriate coverage riders for HVAC) immediately, just in case.
